PTI MAKE IT MONDAY #235: ADDING COLOR TO STAMPED IMAGES

Happy End of December.  I hope you all had a nice Christmas and holiday season.  I love this time of year.  :)

I wanted to play along with PTI's Make it Monday challenge this week since I love the card so much that Laurie made.  I love everything about her original card.  I made one similar as I new I would have to case her sketch as soon as I saw it.  She is very talented.  :)

I used many of the same supplies, including PTI inks and colored pencils, as well as the Fresh Floral Wrap Ups stamps and dies.  I didn't use OMS, but the blender pencil that is part of the Prismacolor line.  If you haven't tried the colorless blender pencil you might want to check it out.  It blends colored pencils with little effort and gives just the right finishing touch.  I only recently discovered this pencil and I am enjoying its effects.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello!  I am enjoying this time of year.  Festive lights, kind gestures, Christmas music, goodies, the delight of children, and most important of all, the celebration of the birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.  Here is a link to a short nativity video that I really like:  A Savior is Born

I have been making some Christmas cards for friends and family and just for fun.  Here are a few I wanted to share.

These two cards are made from MFT stamps and dies.  Such a cute stamp set.

These two are made with Papertrey Ink and MFT products.

This last one is a simple Merry Christmas card that I also really like.

Hug in a Mug

My new MFT items just arrived so I had to play with them upon arrival.  I was inspired by a card MFT DT member Keisha posted for the November release.  Her card is beautiful.  I made some with the persimmon, gray and white combo as well as this combination with grapesicle and grape jelly card stocks.  I used the Let it Snowflake dies and a cover plate die from PTI.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  A few sequins I had on hand and a touch of wink of stella and it is complete.

New Christmas Card Creations

I am back with a couple new Christmas cards I just finished.   The first card is elegant with a pink and ocean tides color scheme.  Soft and pretty.  This one is made mostly from PTI products.

The second card is adorned with playful reindeer from Mama Elephant.  Lots of fun!

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #227: Focal Cluster

Hello!  I made a small square card using the Focal Cluster technique shared on PTI's MIM #227 Challenge.  I used the Flutterby Friend stamp set along with an aqua mist card base and the Limitless Layers square dies.

Ellie the Elephant Card

I love how quickly the Avery Elle Ellie stamp set helped me make up this card.  What a cute set and love the matching dies!

Speaking of elephants, I just discovered a new local shop worth checking out that has a cute elephant logo.  They also carry some of my card creations.  :)  Their website is: http://www.mamasplacehb.com/  They carry lots of cute items for mothers and babies as well as cloth diapers and fun decor for kid's rooms.  So cute!

PTI Make it Monday #216: Adding color to cover plates

I had to make a card similar to Laura's as she is so talented with color and I fell in love with her copic coloring of the Garden Gild Cover Plate die.  I used various copics and I love the effect.  I can't wait to make more!  :)
